Who can apply?

Yoga Sādhanā is open to anyone who wishes to deepen their Yoga practice and understanding, whether you are a complete beginner or have been practicing for years. No teaching experience or certification is required.

 

If you are curious about traditional Yoga, looking to build a consistent practice, or considering a future 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, this program offers a meaningful introduction to the yogic way of life through daily āsana, prāṇāyāma, meditation, chanting, philosophy, and self-study.

Unlike a Teacher Training Course, Yoga Sādhanā is not focused on teaching skills, assessments, or certification. Instead, it is designed for personal growth, self-discovery, and transformation.

 

If your goal is to experience Yoga beyond the mat, understand its deeper philosophy, and immerse yourself in the Gurukula style of learning, this program provides a supportive space to live and experience Yoga as a way of life.

Yoga Darshanam

You will get into the study of Yoga as a darshana

You will study the practice of asanas with props which can deepen your insight on asanas

Choose the style of Yoga you are planning to join. Click the course you are taking and click on register. It takes you to choose the accommodation. This leads to submitting the registration form and proceeding to check out.

2. Prepare, Pay Balance and Book Tickets

Once the registration fee is paid, you will get a confirmation email. Continue the practices, pay the remaining balance and get ready with the tickets to reach Samyak.

3. See you at Samyak Campus

The transportation is arranged by us to reach Samyak. See you and lets begin the Yoga Sadhana.

A Note on Commitment

Yoga Sādhanā is an immersive residential program rooted in the traditional Gurukula way of learning. To receive the full benefit of the experience, we encourage participants to set aside work commitments, Zoom meetings, and regular responsibilities during their stay.

 

This is not a vacation or retreat, but a dedicated period of practice, study, and self-reflection. Through consistent practice, simple living, and authentic teachings, you will experience Yoga as a way of life and develop a deeper connection to your practice.

Your Accommodations 

Yoga Sādhana is hosted on the second floor of the Ashram, where eight rooms are dedicated exclusively to the participants of the program. Four rooms are available as private accommodations, while the remaining four are offered on a twin-sharing basis. Twin-sharing rooms are allocated only between participants of the same gender to ensure comfort and privacy throughout the stay.

Prepare for your training

Visa to India
  1. If you are not an Indian practitioner, you will need a Visa to enter India. Please check the details here.

  2. You won't be able to apply for a student visa unless your study is for more than 180 days. Therefore, you can apply for a tourist visa. You can also apply for an E-Tourist Visa, and in an E-Tourist Visa, you can select 'short-term yoga practice.' 

Day off during the training

7th of the month is a day off for the classes. You can go for shopping/massages, visiting in and around Mysore, if you would like to. You can stay back and focus on anar-mauna (inner silence). 

Departure

You can book your return flight after 5:00 PM on the last day (14th) on the Deekshanta Day. The transportation at the end of the training isn't included in the fee. However, it can be arranged. Please reach out to the office during your training days. 

Your Tickets & Transportation
  1. You can arrive the same day or a day before the training begins. The transportation is included in the fee you pay for the training. 

  2. Bangalore International Airport/Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) is where you should book your arrival tickets. 

  3. You can arrive at any time (including midnight). The driver will be waiting for you at the airport's arrival gate to receive you and will drop you at your accommodation. 

Accommodation
  1. You can arrive a day or two days before the training begins. 

  2. The transportation is still included in the fee paid towards the training. 

  3. However, there is a nominal cost for the extra day if you arrive a day or two before the training begins. 

  4. We won't be able to accommodate you after the training is completed. The checkout is 10:00 am on (14th) the day of Deekshanta.
