
Checklist for Yoga Teacher Training
PRACTICE ESSENTIALS

Yoga Mat
Please bring your own mat. Our Ashram is outside the city, and you won’t have access to shops to buy one easily. -
Comfortable Practice Clothing

Clothes that allow movement and breathability.

Light full-sleeves or layers for cooler mornings.
-
Keep your shoulders and knees covered when walking to the river or spending leisure time.

Shawl/Scarf
Useful during meditation, morning chill, or temple visits. -
Sweater & Socks
Early mornings can be cool. Pack one or two warm layers. -
Water Bottle
Bring a refillable container to use the filtered water available on campus.
STAY ESSENTIALS

Towels (2)
One for your shower and one for general use/yoga mat cover if needed.

Toiletries

Soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.

These are available at our Ashram shop, but the brands may differ.
3. Herbal Tea (Optional)

We provide Indian chai and black coffee. Herbal teas are not easily available in Mysore. Bring your preferred options if needed.
4. Toilet Paper

While available at our shop, you may want to bring. We have them in the shop for you to buy.
MONEY & PAYMENTS

ATM Access

Once at the Ashram, you won’t have ATM access.

You may bring your own currency and exchange it in Mysore (on the day off).

Airport exchange is available, but rates may be poor.
2. Course Fee Payment
-
If you're paying the remaining fee in cash, confirm in advance via email. You’ll complete the payment before the Initiation Ceremony.
3. Cash Withdrawal Advice
-
Indian ATMs often limit withdrawals to ₹10,000 (~€120).
-
Transaction fees apply.
-
It’s best to bring cash and exchange in Mysore if required.
4. Refundable Deposit & Charges for Extra Days
-
You will be paying 5000 INR as refundable deposit for the laundry and other essentials.
-
A nominal extra day charge will be 2500 INR/30 Euros/30 USD per person (with meals included).
-
The check out will be at 10:00 AM on the last day of the training.
PERSONAL MEDICATIONS & HEALTH

Personal Medications
Bring required medications in sufficient quantity. -
Homeopathic Suggestions (Optional)

Arnica 9CH – For muscle recovery

Ledum Palustre 4CH or 9CH – For mosquito bites
3. First Aid & Pain Relief

Tiger Balm (if not allergic)

Basic medicines like Aspirin, Advil, Tylenol
4. Feminine Hygiene Products

Bring what you usually use; some brands (like Tampax) are not readily available in India.
5. Contact Lens Products

Bring your lens care items as they may not be locally available.
REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS

Carry a photocopy of your Passport / Aadhaar / Driving Licence / Voter ID. -

OTHER USEFUL INFORMATION

Wi-Fi
Available and included in your course fee. Bring your own devices. -
No Smoking / Alcohol
Strictly prohibited during the training, on or off-campus. -
Laundry Service & Ashram Shop

A refundable deposit (5000 INR/60 Euros/60 USD) is required for basic purchases (toilet paper, soap, etc.) and laundry.

Unused balance will be returned at the end of the course.

Prices at the ashram shop are as per local Mysore market rates.
4. Power Sockets
