Eat Together, Happy and Joyful
The factors involved in the making of Food

The Ingredients
The quality of the fruits, nuts, and vegetables we use an impact. We should be well-aware of the source of the food. Hence, at Samyak Yoga Ashram, we bring directly from the local farmers. They literally worship the farming.
The Concept behind
The food is prepared based on the type of Yoga practice involved. You should have all the three qualities of Ayurveda i.e. Vata, Pitta and Kapha in their proportion. The food menu created in such a way that it is delicious and nourishes all dimensions of the system
The Preparation
The process of making the food too is a significant part. The Chef while preparing should be happy and joyful. The mind involved in the preparation of the food influences the outcome.
The Consumption
The way of eating the food is also significant. At Samyak Yoga Ashram, we all sit together as a family and enjoy the food. When shared with others, the heart opens and helps in bringing energy and light within

Be Advised
Food is prepared based on ayurvedic concepts such as Vata, Pitta and Kapha Doshas. The food is strictly vegetarian. However, the students can opt for vegan food, gluten-free food. The chef here can also make some changes in the food in case of any specific allergies.

More about Food served at Ashram
Yogic Indian Food is served during the Yoga Teacher Training that is suitable for the Yoga practice of our students that also help in detoxifying the body for yogic practices. Besides nutritional value, we love to give a culinary taste of India. We don’t offer meat, fish, and eggs, which are considered stimulating/lethargic for yogic practices. The yogic food is seasoned with mild spices, which are part of the Ayurvedic diet.
All food is prepared with filtered water in our clean and spacious kitchen where we give utmost importance for hygiene of all the food items and cooks. We are hoping to grow all food in our Yoga eco-farm eventually until then we buy the foods from local farmers which are grown seasonally.
Students with the preference for Vegan and Gluten-free diets can comfortably manage here. You will have Brown Bread, Muesli, Cornflakes with Fruits for Breakfast while the lunch and Dinner include Salads, Vegetables, Lentils, Beans, Rice, Wheat items, Soups and Desserts on occasion.
We design the menu to calm down the body-mind, while you are going through detoxification during the intensive practice/course which generates a lot more heat in the body and mind, and is beneficial to the intense practice of Yoga.
All foods are served in Buffet-style and you can take as much as you want.
