“Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training Intensive – March 2021” is a residential intensive Yoga immersion in the practice and philosophy of Ashtanga Yoga. This 200 Hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance-accredited program explores the traditional methods of practising Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
Ashtanga Yoga is a method of practice based on “Tristhana Krama” which enables the practitioner to synchronise the asanas (Annamaya Kosha) with pre-defined breathing (Pranamaya Kosha) along with Dirshti (Focus – Manomaya Kosha). This style of practice helps you in deepening your journey within through asanas towards the spiritual exploration of oneself.
This is an intensive training focusing on two fundamental aspects. They are:
1. Svadhyaya (building your self-practice)
This includes how to develop your own Ashtanga practice without any injury as well as how to deepen the practice of asanas. It also includes building your self-practice of Pranayama and Meditation too.
2. Pravachana (Building the teacher within)
This includes the techniques of teaching Ashtanga Yoga in the traditional method as well as the teaching of Pranayama and Meditation.

Day off: March 7th, 14th and 21st will have the break for the classes. You can use this time to visit Mysore or stay back at the Ashram.
How many students will be in this training?
The training maximum intake is 24 students.
Teacher Training is NOT a Retreat. The students need individual attention in terms of practice and teaching. However, the group should have the number of participants to keep the energy and intensity of the training.
Hence, it is limited to 24 students only.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe for a single female traveler to travel alone?
It is completely safe to travel to Samyak Yoga. We arrange transportation from the airport as soon as you arrive at the arrival gate. We do not outsource the facility, instead, the drivers we send are known to us for a long time. They are safe to travel with.
Should I wait for other students during pick up at the airport?
No. One of the staff members will be there to receive you at the arrival gate. The transportation is arranged for every individual student. However, if someone is traveling on the same flight that of you, we will let you know in advance and you can travel together.
What about money exchange?
You can make any remaining payment at Samyak Yoga in any currency. However, you will need some INR for your shopping. You can exchange your currency into INR during your visit to Mysore city during day-off.
What can I do during my day-off?
Every seventh day of the training is a break for the classes. During this training, 7th, 14th and 21st of March 2021 are days off from the practice. You can visit Mysore city, get some massage, go shopping or just stay back at the Ashram. You will be guided in details at the reception of the Ashram.
Can I follow my Vegan food preferences?
Though we have a delicious food menu prepared under the guidance of Ayurveda doctors, we do have options for students who prefer a Vegan diet. Some students have lactose/gluten intolerance. Though the food options are minimum, we do try our best to offer the delicious food during your training.
When should I have my flight back?
Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training completes on 28th March 2021 at 10:00 AM. You will be able to schedule your flight back on the same day after 6:00 PM (evening). Please note that you won’t be able to leave on 27th March 2021..
