Vinyasa Yoga is a style of Yoga practice evolved since time immemorial. Vinyasa is a krama or an order as Sri T Krishnamacharya says which brings the asanas into the practice is a specific way. Pattabhi Jois always used to refer to his teacher saying that the asana practice should never be done without the Vinyasa.

Vinyasa Yoga is a traditional Yoga asana practice style which mainly influenced by Ashtanga Vinyasa in the modern world. Vinyasa Yoga when learnt traditionally, it can be very creative and interesting for the students to practice and explore the inner potentialities of the human body.

Tristhana Practice

Vinyasa Yoga Tradition is mainly based on the tristhana practice of asanas, i.e. Asana, Breath and Drishti. These three combined in the practice will bring the Bandhas and the Vinyasa Yoga becomes a moving meditation.

You can expect the following during your Vinyasa Yoga training with Samyak Yoga

Let us consider you as a Vinyasa Yoga Practitioner:

  • You will explore the alignment techniques, practice tips, using props to develop the practice
  • You will spend time to discuss on the physical, mental and spiritual perspectives and benefits of Asanas.
  • It is very important to develop a self practice. You will be guided on how to build your self practice. Back home, you should be able to build your own self practice-modules, not only the ones you have done during the course. We will spend time on how to build the practice modules and develop self practice.
  • Inter-relate the practice of Pranayama with asana-practice. Pranayama is a significant practice but often neglected. Hence, during the course you will spend ample time in developing your pranayama practice and you will incorporate in your self practice.
  • Meditation is the goal of the asana-pranayama practice. Hence you will be practicing meditation techniques every day.
  • You will be participating in sessions on Yoga Sutras, the philosophy of Yoga, history and origin of the practice. These will develop a spiritual perspective towards the practice.

What will you receive as a to-be Vinyasa Yoga Teacher

  • You will be teaching from Day 2.
  • Please keep in the mind before you register, this is a Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa Yoga where in you will spend a good amount of time every day in developing your skills of teaching Yoga.
  • You will be receiving individual feedback from the teachers on every day basis.
  • As a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, you should be able to create your own Yoga Class modules. Hence we discuss the traditional methods of sequencing Yoga classes and you will be creating a few Yoga class modules under the supervision of the teachers.
  • You will also be teaching Pranayama and meditation techniques.
  • There will be sessions on how to use your voice in teaching different categories of asanas, positioning as a teacher during the teaching or in demonstrations, refining body language as a teacher etc.
  • We will be discussing every day on the Art of Hands on Adjustments of every asana. This is a great tool in helping your students if learnt properly.
  • Your teaching sessions will get intense during the second half of the training.

Food & Accommodation are included from July 1st, 2017 NOON to July 28th, 2017 NOON.

A registration is confirmed after the deposit of 350€.

  • We can accommodate you ONE DAY prior the course (June 3oth), extra cost 15€ which includes food and Accommodation.
  • Transportation is included from the BANGALORE AIRPORT if you are reaching on June 30th or July 1st, 2017
  • Transportation IS NOT INCLUDED if you are arriving earlier (June 28th, June 29th).
  • If you are arriving earlier to Mysore the transportation will take place on July 1st, 2017 AT NOON from your guest house or hotel in MYSORE CITY.
  • If you are arriving earlier transportation IS NOT INCLUDED from any hotel in BANGALORE CITY. Please reach Mysore first.

** Transportation is NOT INCLUDED at the end of the course. But we can arrange the transportation and you can pay the driver directly.

THINGS TO KNOW

  • BANGALORE AIRPORT

    • Book your flight to BANGALORE AIRPORT (Airport Code is BLR).
    • Distance between the Airport and our Ashram is about 150 kms.
  • REGISTRATION - HOW DOES IT WORK

    • Fill the Registration Form,
    • We will read your Application Form and a reply will be send to you within 48 hours. If we feel that we are missing some information we will ask you to clarify some points.
    • Once you have registered with Samyak Yoga your participation will be confirmed and your place secured only after the deposit of the Registrations Fees.
    • Registration Fees are 350€ and when you would like to confirm, please mail. You will receive an invoice with the details of payment.
    • Please read Payment Policy before making the payment.
    • Once you have secured your place you will be receiving a Welcome Kit which includes an Asana chart, Visa information and other details about the place where you will be spending a month time.
    • You need to apply for a TOURISTIC VISA.
    • There will be a Final Invoice sent to you on 15th of May 2017. You will complete the final payment within 15 days of the final invoice.

    How fast the course gets full?

    More often the courses held in June, July and August get full (18 students) by April, max. Therefore, if you are planning for any of these months, it is recommended to secure your seat well in advance.

  • WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING WITH YOU

    • PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE
    • Your own Yoga Mat, Belt and props if necessary.
    • Your own towel.
    • Your own medicine such as Paracetamol, contact lenses product, personal hygiene product (for ladies).
    • Tiger Balm, Arnica, natural anti-mosquito product. To travel in India no vaccines are required.
    • A container for the water – we are providing filter water, please DO NOT CARRY ANY PLASTIC BOTTLE.
    • NO PLASTIC BAGS are allowed in the premises of Samyak Yoga.
    • Sufficient money in cash for your own needs as the ATM is not nearby.
    • Your smile and a positive attitude.
  • Check-in, Check-out

    Check-in is July 1st @ 12:00 PM (noon)

    Check-out is July 28th @10.00 AM

    You can check in on June 30th too with an extra cost of 15 Euros approx.

    The Initiation Ceremony (Deeksha) starts on July 1st, 2017 at 6.00 PM

    The Certification Ceremony (Deekshanta) takes place at 7:00 AM on July 28th, 2017.

    You can book a flight which departs after 18:00 (6:00 PM) from Bangalore Airport.
