Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at Samyak Yoga Ashram is an intensive 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. This course focuses on the traditional practice of Vinyasa Yoga based on the teaching and practice of Sri T Krishnamacharya, the founder of modern yoga practice.

Hatha Yoga practice


Vinyasa Yoga is a method of yoga practiced where in the Asanas are practiced in a specific order. It is not just the sequence of Asanas put together, rather every single asana has its own specific sequence to follow. This method of practice is called “Vinyasa Krama”.


Thristhana is a three-fold practice element in Vinyasa Yoga where in the specific Asana, Breath and Drishti are leading the practice. This three-fold practice is a traditional way of practice leading to the practice of Bandha, to Dhyana at later stages.

Vinyasa Yoga and Modern Vinyasa Flow practice

At Samyak Yoga, the entire Vinyasa Yoga practice is designed following the Vinyasa Yoga Tradition. If you are looking for fitness based Vinyasa Flow or some dance form based modern flow practices in the name of Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, this course is not for you.

During Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, we work on practicing the traditional Vinyasa Yoga as it is.

Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training : Course in Brief


    • You will be practicing over 100 asanas following the traditional approach of Vinyasa Krama
    • A detailed analysis of every asana with its alignment, Vinyasa Krama, limitation and benefits are covered in detail
    • The Art of Hands on Adjustments of every Asana is discussed in detail with practical implementation of Hands on Adjustments
    • Build, refine and progress in your own Vinyasa Class modules under the supervision of the teacher
    • Receive assessment of your practice individually with the teachers.
    • Practice Different modules for Elders, for Menstruation, and theme based Vinyasa structures

    • Discuss the tradition, origin and evolution of Vinyasa Yoga
    • Sessions on Yoga Sutras of Patanjali with Sutras in detail (with chanting) to deepen the understanding of Yoga Philosophy form the source
    • Exploring Chakras, Nadis and Pancha Kosha to design the skillful, refined Yoga classes and refine the Yogic life as well,
    • Transforming discussions on Yoga school of Philosophy
    • Discussions on Yoga Anatomy from a deeper, integral aspect of Yoga Philosophy
    • Sessions on Prana, Pranayama techniques and their scientific and spiritual impact on the daily life
    • Sessions on philosophy behind the practice, symptoms and progress in Vinyasa Yoga

    • You will be teaching from Day 2
    • You will be teaching in small groups every day with individual feedback on your teaching
    • The feed back on positioning, Voice modulation, demonstration, offering modification, teaching at different paces etc will be dealt in detail in sessions, individually as well.
    • As a Vinyasa to-be Yoga Teacher, you should know how to design Vinyasa Yoga Class modules. Therefore, a week long”Vinyasa Yoga Class designing” sessions will prepare you in all the aspects of teaching Vinyasa Yoga
    • The students are required to prepare the Vinyasa Yoga Class modules under the guidance of the teacher
    • These modules will explore the world of sequencing, designing and implementing the classes in the Yoga classes
    • You will be prepared to teach theme based Vinyasa Yoga Classes during the third week of the training.
    • You will also be teaching Pranayama techniques.
    • A a Yoga Teacher you should be able to teach Meditation techniques and relaxation
    • The entire class will receive your teaching of Vinyasa Yoga at the end of the course to be prepared to go back as Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.


  • A minimum regular practice of one year
  • This is physically an intensive training course. Hence you need to be physically fit to participate in the sessions from morning to evening covering around 8 – 8.30 hours a day.
  • Emotionally you need to be strong as different phases of the training can challenge you at different levels.
  • Be prepared to it for two theoretical sessions which are emotional, intellectually very interesting and interactive, physically can be hard.
  • Passionate to question the perspective, practice, and understanding we possess and not to attach to our pre-conceived notions.
  • Avoid the training if any chronic illness, pregnancy, recent surgeries, and under medication for any psychological disorders.

Arrival & Departure

  • You can arrive a day before or on the day of the beginning of the course.
  • The taxi pick-up from the airport is included in the course fee.
  • If you are arriving a day earlier, you are supposed to make an extra payment for the day.
  • We won’t be able to accommodate you more than a day earlier.
  • You will be specifically directed by Mr. Sharma, from the registration dept.
