Yoga Ashram in Mysore is the main location where in most of its training courses are held apart from its training courses in Bali, Paris, Cambodia etc.
Here are the details of the place where in Samyak Yoga is located.
This place is called “Cauvery Sannidhi” i.e. the divine presence of river Cauvery. This entire “Ashram” is situated on the banks of Cauvery river. It is full of palm trees, paddy field, sugar cane garden, mango and jack-fruit trees etc.
Yoga Shala at Samyak Yoga Ashram is structured in such a way that it can accommodate around 40 students at a time. It allows the students to practice with the feel of vastness.
The food provided here is prepared with the vegetables supplied by the local farmers. Under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic doctor and a nutritionist, the food menu is prepared. The menu consists some of the popular cuisines of India as well as the local cuisine which no other tourist would have tasted.
The premises where the food is taking place is not a restaurant. People cooking the food should be treated with respect. Be kind and be loving towards people who work for us while we focus on our inner growth in the Yoga Shala.
There will be 3 meals per day
The main ingredients of the food are a lot of vegetables, nuts and fresh fruits so that the food intake goes along with the inner practice we do. The meals provided three times as breakfast, Lunch and Dinner while there are two tea breaks, during the morning session after the philosophical discussions and again in the evening.

There are 18 rooms for students and all are single occupancy with attached bathrooms and western closet. The rooms are vast and built with south Indian bricks which keeps the temperature calm and comfortable for the practice and relaxation. The hot water is available always.
Internet is accessible through WIFI. We have high-speed Internet facility available in the entire Ashram. Every floor has a WiFi router which enables the students to access internet easily. You can bring along the phones, tablets and laptops to avail the necessary with the payment of 1200 INR after the arrival here in the Ashram. There are no systems / devices available in the Ashram for the use of the students and hence if you need to browse/Skype we recommend bringing the systems such as Laptops, phones or tabs along.
The Internet facility is not allowed in the Yoga Shala as it distracts the focus from the process of learning.
Cauvery Kanya Gurukulam (Indian Monastery for Girls)
In order to bring the great Yogic and Vedic heritage back to the society, an ancient system of education called “Gurukulam” is established here which is only for girls. A small number of girls stay here, learn Yoga, the Vedas, speak in Sanskrit, trained in Music and fine arts while becoming professionals in the field of psychology. It is one of the inspiring aspects of our place when you are exploring your own self during the yoga training. You will get the rare opportunity of observing the real Gurukula system of education which had prevailed until the Buddhist period of Indian history.

Presence of a Yogi
The Ashram also has a divine presence of a monk, a Yogi who has been exploring the hidden facets of human system since last six decades. With glorious legacy of his gurus, he works on his inner research. He neither gets involved in any of the activities nor students are asked to meet him. His divine presence itself has the ability to awaken the inner flames of Yogic life in the practitioners. It is such a rare combination of little girls learning and exploring the Yogic and Vedic wisdom while a yogi manifesting his universal consciousness.

Perfect place for Yoga Practice and Meditation
There is a small island wherein sit and deepen your meditation in front of the divine river Cauvery. You can also swim and relax during your leisure time specifically during the day offs. The river and this small island have given a complete transforming, soul awakening perspective to the Ashram and its activities.

1. Is it a Hindu religious place where in I might have to follow the religious practices?
No. A Yoga Ashram is a place wherein the practice, teaching and discussions related to Yoga take place. A Yoga Ashram is not a religious place. Samyak Yoga Ashram is specifically established for the Yoga Teacher Training Programs and the entire team is completely committed to it.
2. I am not interested in Yoga Teacher Training, but I would like to attend a few classes. Do you offer any open classes?
No, we do not offer any open classes. However, at certain times we offer some workshops/retreats which will be published in the website. Apart from them, we do not offer any open-daily classes to attend.
3. Can I stay in Samyak Yoga Ashram as long as I want? If Yes, is there any activity that I could follow?
No, You can’t stay as long a you want in Samyak Yoga Ashram. As mentioned above, Samyak Yoga Ashram is a Yoga destination where in Yoga Teacher Training Courses are taught most often every month. The team of Samyak is very committed to it and there are no other programs offered at the moment.
4. I am an Indian. I would like to attend Yoga Teacher Training. Do you offer any discount or different course fee for an Indian / PIO?
No! The course fee is same for every one. It does not vary on the basis of your origin. Kindly check the course fee for the Yoga Teacher Training you are looking forward to join.
