Today Hatha Yoga has become the synonym of either easy asana practice or anything that an individual teacher like to teach. Most of the time, we do not know what may the traditional Hatha Yoga. During the training, we practice the traditional Hatha Yoga, getting back to the roots and keeping the essence intact.
BUILD YOUR SELF PRACTICE
As you evolve as a Hatha Yoga Teacher, you should evolve as a Hatha Yoga practitioner too. However, it is difficult to keep up the self-practice. We work during the training on how to build the self-practice and improve your personal practice.
TEACH TO LEARN
You become a better teacher when you keep your student alive and afresh within. You become a better student when you teach. During the training, you will be teaching every day from Day 2 under the guidance of the lead teacher. As you teach, you will have more questions. The more you find questions, your knowledge of Yoga practice gets firm. This is the foundation of finding the Yoga Teacher within.
ART OF HANDS ON ADJUSTMENTS
It is an important aspect of exploring the skeleton of asanas. As you assist and adjust someone, you will be able to understand the techniques, different body types etc. It enhances your understanding of asanas in a deeper way.
Yoga Philosophy is very fascinating. But when presented/taught bad, it seems boring. During the training, we discuss Yoga Philosophy not as an information, but how it can be implemented in daily life. It is very transformative to dig the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Chakras, Nadis & Koshas etc.
HATHA YOGA CLASS SEQUENCING
It is not sufficient if you have a good practice of traditional Hatha Yoga. It is also not sufficient if you know the philosophy of Yoga or even how to teach the asanas. It is a requirement of a better-refined Yoga teacher that you know how to sequence your own Traditional Hatha Yoga class. We discuss the do’s & Don’ts of creating Hatha yoga class sequences, work on the timing of them, find the modifications if required and so on. This is one of the essentials for you on the path of becoming a Yoga Teacher.
PRACTICE & TEACH PRANAYAMA
Pranayamas are always the under-rated, the most needed part of the practice. Most often, we do not know how to practice or we may not have built the taste of regular practice. During the training, we strive to inculcate the regular practice of Pranayama so that it becomes a part of your daily routine.
You will also be required to teach Pranayama. The more you teach, better will be your practice. It allows you get more equipped Hatha Yoga Teacher.
Practicing Jala Neti & Trataka are significant as they enhance your ability to purify the respiration and enhance the focus of the mind respectively. These are the two major tools we require on the path of Yoga.
